All action at Indianapolis MotoGP
There was plenty of action at the Indianapolis round of the MotoGP championship, and with just two weeks before the British GP at Silverstone, excitement is definitely building. Britain’s Bradley Smith made a great start to the race, running in fourth place in the opening laps before dropping back. He ended up getting a nice boost at the end as the Ducati pair of Nicky Hayden and Andrea Dovizioso clashed in the final corner, cruising past them to take eighth place.
Tech 3 team-mate Cal Crutchlow had an epic battle with Valentino Rossi and Alvaro Bautista. If you missed the race, here’s a taster of what happened:
Repsol Honda star Dani Pedrosa took second from Jorge Lorenzo, but it was Marc Marquez who really shone. The young Spanish rider became the first GP star to take wins at all three American circuits in a season, and continues to rewrite the record books in his debut season in the top class.
Knee down, elbow down, and even cutting the grass at the American circuit! It’s no wonder he’s leading the championship and could take the MotoGP title at his first attempt.
